No. The builder is visual: screenshots in, click to place the ring, type captions, export steps.json. The only "code" in the whole flow is one iframe line you paste into your page. Editing the JSON by hand is optional, and CUSTOMIZE.md documents every option.
Anywhere your page runs: your existing host, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, a cheap VPS. It is static files — if you can host an image, you can host the demo. Nothing is installed and there is no database.
